Fucsia Dress with a Bow Belt

Those who follow my sewing projects or know me personally have already noticed how I like bows. And they also know that my wardrobe is quite colorful.

I made this dress two years ago and still love wearing it in the summer.

It is based on the pattern from the BurdaStyle magazine with a few changes.  I slightly changed the neck and armhole lines and added a buttons on the back. Large belt drapes around the waist and ties into a bow.

The dress is made of dress fabric and has no lining. The neck and armholes are finished with bias bands that I made myself from a more lightweight fabric of the same color.

The size of the belt is 190cm x 18cm. The length of the dress is shorter than the original length given in the pattern. 

I used 8 flat buttons of about 1,7 mm in diameter. For the buttoned up back I just added a few centimeters along the center of the back line and then simply followed the same steps as when sewing the classic shirt. 

The dress is perfect for the summer. Lunch with friends, gallery visit, or summer party, it works great everywhere. For special occasions I just add some more jewelry.

Платье цвета фуксии с бантом

Те, кто знакомы с моими работами по фотофоруму Burdastyle.ru, уже видели это платье, и знают, что я люблю банты и яркие цвета.

Это платье появилось у меня 2 года назад, но до сих пор остается одним из моих любимых летних платьев.

За основу я использовала выкройку модели 127 из Бурды за октябрь 2012 года, но внесла много изменений. Я немного изменила линии горловины и пройм и обработала их косыми бейками из более тонкой ткани в тон. На спинке я сделала застежку на пуговицах. Для этого я просто добавила припуски по линии середины спинки, продублировала их флизелином и затем шила как планку рубашки. Мне понадобилось 8 плоских пуговиц диаметром около 1 см 7 мм.

Длина платья короче длины предложенной в журнале. В качестве пояса к платью я добавила бант. Длина банта 190 см x 18 см. 

Платье сшито из легкой шелковистой плательной ткани средней плотности.

Для особенных случаев я просто дополняю его украшениями.
